WELL I PULLED MY TRUCK IN THE SHOP YESTERDAY TO CHANGE THE CARRIER BEARING. MARKED THE DRIVESHAFT AND PULLED IT OUT. TOOK IT UP THE STREET TO A MECHANIC TO HAVE HIM PRESS OFF THE OLD ONE AND PRESS ON THE NEW ONE. AFTER PAYING $40 I GOT UNDER THE TRUCK AND NOTICED THE MARK I HAD ON THERE WAS GONE. TOOK A GUESS ON HOW IT MIGHT LINE UP! WROOOOOOOOOOONG! HAHAHA! NOW I GUESS I HAVE TO FIND SOMEONE TO BALANCE MY D/S. I HEARD THAT IF YOU JUST ROTATE THE D/S 180 DEGREES IT MIGHT FIX IT????????? I ALSO NOTICED I HAVE PLAY IN MY TIE ROD JOINT AND IDLER ARM:rofl:

I would say get it balanced. when i built the tranny i didnt mark the shaft when i pulled it and a after i put it all back together i must have had it off from where it was.... long story short i did my 1 week check after doing the tranny, noticed the output shaft seal leaking pulled the drive shaft and found the yoke, output shaft bushing, and output shaft seal were all smoked. I sent the shaft off to get balanced and they said it needed to be retubed because it wouldnt straighten out. 180degrees made a $450.00 difference in my case
