OK, that was an experiment that failed. I took my tow bar, and hooked it up to shock perches. The red strap is the closest I could find to a red flag. Never experiment anywhere that a camera might be present!
I need to haul the rear out to have some welding done, because I'm still dinking with the engine. But if you try this method, the axle will freak out at about 40mph. It will occillate side-to-side with enough force to feel it in the steering, like a trailer without enough tongue weight.
