Careful when updating to itunes 8

I did it and now when i plug in my ipod touch i get the blue screen of death.

Apparently i'm not the only one so it's bound to happen to you. Stick with itunes 7 until this is all figured out...

Thanks, downloaded 8 about three hours ago. Bought some songs, and haven't synced them to the ipod yet. Is there a way to put 7.x back on?

no probs with mine. I have xp. I sync my ipod and iphone. I recently had to go buy the 3g phone, cuz I cracked the glass on other iphone. My maps froozed up on my and they couldnt figure it out. Ended up it has happened to several people out there and they figured it out. Go to settings and reset your defaults back to factory and it unfreezes the maps...... This will save you HOURS in line....

does the burning engine in Itunes 8 (for PC) not SUCK??? Because that would be sweet.

I have NEVER had great luck using itunes to burn CD's on ANY PC. It either burns rediculously slowly, buffer underruns, etc... 3 different PC's all with 48x burners or whatever the fastest is nowadays, I dont keep up with computer crap anymore, and they all take like 8 minutes to burn a CD. If I so much as breathe on the computer thats burning the cd it buffer underruns.

Well, I synced up my iPod last night, and no problems. Worked fine, and listened to it today in my truck. I guess I got lucky.
I noticed on my last version of iTunes, when I burnt a CD, that it sucked, took forever and wouldn't play right. Then I decided to attribute the not playing right part to my stock head unit, it's screwing up CD's that I burnt that play perfect on either CD players.

iTunes 8 + computer = FUBAR
iTunes 8 + 2.1 Firmware + iPhone = Great

iTunes has messed up my vista also but the new iPhone software is way better and faster and better on the battery

yes, that was the whole reason I upgraded to iTunes 8, so that I could update the firmware on my iphone to 2.1 and like I said, I haven't had any problems and I'm really liking the updated firmware on the phone as well!

I just upgraded, works fine, and now doesnt buffer underrun when I burn CD's and do other sutff on the computer at the same time!

takes like 12 minutes to burn a CD tho.

all is well with mine upgraded to itunes 8 and then 2.1 on the iphone no issues.
