Hi guys newbie diesel here , I've living off this site last week or so and can't seem to find my exact problem, I got a 02 dmax Allison dmax egr delete with 4 inch exhaust , I bought it a week ago with the tranny in limp replaced the nsbu with one from Allison, pulled valve body it looked good (as far as from what I could tell ) tranny fluid dark maroon in Color changed it and both filters and still getting p0847 p0872 and p0700, reverse no problem clear codes and after 3 seconds back to neutral no go! When I first dropped the pan lots of clutch material at the bottom of pan needed a shop rag to get it off ! Starts and runs great just doesn't wAnna move , any ideas?

Not to sound like a broken record , but can't I just say unstuck the valve? De burr or what ever is evolved in fixing the stuck e valve ? I really like to fix stuff myself but don't think I could take on a tranny rebuild not at this point in the year, which one is the e valve

E shift valve is in the upper half of the valve body. The half that has only 1 solenoid. It is the center valve.

Sweet thanks, i appreciate your knowledge and expertise, I'm sure it does require a rebuild but I just gotta get it moving and when the tranny does drop completely it won't be so bad hearing it from the wife, lmao but if I say rebuild before its moving she will..... Well you know

I'm betting you won't be able to fix this. If you screw up the valve body; add about 750.00 to the price of the trans.

Im about to do a swap from a used 02 into my 01 and the guy i got it from originally went the other way and told me the fitting where the lines connect will be a dif size and to just use the fittings off the one in my truck .but from his research and problems with his own truck he tolcd me that only 01 has the dif size and of course only 01 to 04.5 will work being they went 6 speed in 4.5 up.

Negative, they went to the 6 speed in 06. 01-05 trannies can be swapped into any lb7 truck, but if you have an lly, you have to use the correct valve body and internal harness as they used the g solenoid to drop line pressure during low to no load situations. The cooler line fittings changed early 03 as well as the nsbu changed from the dual to single plug. There are adapter fittings available to use the early style trans in a later model truck and vise versa. Also if you have an lly truck, you can make an early style trans work by swapping to an lb7 tcm calibration that doesnt utilize the go solenoid, or swap to an 04-05 internal harness, and plug a g solenoid in and zip tie it up inside the pan to keep it from coding.
