Ok so here it is. When I turn the heat on in my truck, all the drivers side vents I get heat out of, but all the vents on the passenger side I get freezing cold air. Its almost like there is a divider down the center of the vehicle and one side its hot and the other is cold. I already replaced the door stepper motor and it is not that. What else could it be? The controls? The resistor? Also I should mention if I turn the temp all the way down to 60 and let it sit there for a min and then turn it up to 80 I can get some heat out of the passenger side but it doesn't blow out near as powerfully as the driver side vents. ANY IDEAS?

You replaced the stepper motor on top of the case correct? The one on top is for the passenger side and the one on the bottom is for the drivers side.

That would make sense, I only replaced the one on the bottom. Where is the one located that is on the top?

Same relative position as the bottom one, just on top of the case. The passenger air bag module needs to be removed to gain access to the actuator.

Is that a pretty big pain to get to then? Anything else I have to pull off? I almost positive thats my problem. I had no idea there was a top one for the passenger side.

Looks like you have the LTZ package so you should have just the one glove box correct? If so you just pop off that center dash bezel (the plastic setup with the vents in it) and there should be four bolts located behind that secure the air bag module. Disconnect your battery and wait at least 2 minutes then remove those bolts and the air bag module should slide straight up.

Ok ya i have that long wood grain piece that pops off and just the one glove box. And I can get to it from right up top there? Or do I still have to come up from the bottom?

@chevyburnout1 YUP! That upper door actuator/stepper motor was the problem for the passenger side. I ordered a new AC delco one and for the time being I took the old on out and I taped the door shut in the heat position. (since it is cold out) But I now have working heat on both sides and thanks for that tip! Also I did not have to remove the air bag, I had just enough room between the vents to get my hand in there. :D

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the new actuator?
