went to tune an 05. hit read PCM instead of program PCM. hit the stop button and went to program PCM. flashscan now says it cannot connect to the PCM and then an error message pops up and says bootloader error cannot connect to PCM. truck wont crank.

pulled batterys off and fuses. going out now to retry. help?

Shut down everything and unplug everything and try again. If it has an aftermarket stereo you have to completely disable it.

x2, i also had a problem like this the other day (my junk always has issues) and it would not read out with 7.5 for anything, but read out fine with v8... Try v8 and let us know how it works out

My experience was right the opposite experience. V8 locked up my fathers LMM, after the battery disconnect V7 brought it to life.

Your firmware is over 2 years out of date! You really should update that, along with your bootblock and software before you try and program your truck.

If you are running the current V7.5 build 139, we suggest that you downgrade your software to build 133 because of the reported LLY failed flashing issues. Software can be downloaded here http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133

Cheers
Cindy

It will be fixed in the next release which may be as early as this weekend or could be another week or 2 away.

To downgrade you need to uninstall EFILive (use the uninstall tool) and delete the C;\Program Files\EFILive folder and your C:\My Documents\EFILive files after you've saved/backed up any files you want to keep.

The process to uninstall should only take a few minutes; it's probably longer to download the full install of 133.

Cheers
Cindy
