Can the Banks Iq be used standalone?

Does anyone know if the Banks IQ can be used by itself without the sixgun tuner? I have efi live dsp5 tuning but would really like to use the iq for guages cause it looks really cool.

Tried searching but couldnt find anything useful.

Just set the sixgun to level 1. I believe that is stock tuning. Get your EFILive set up, then hook up your IQ and use it as your gauge pod. Leaving it on level 1.

Yeah but then I have to pay like $1200 for it (I think thats what they are). The iq is only about $540 on ebay.

It says only lb7 and lly for controlling of efi live.

I only want it for the guages but I like the look of the Banks better.

If you have an Iphone or Ipad you can get Dash command and a PLX Kiwi !!

IMO you'd be better off with the CTS. It's a less problematic unit and easier to use. Also i'm sure it won't be much longer before they have the software updates to use it with EFI on the LBZ and LMM. Also the Insight CTS is much cheaper than the IQ.

Seems like an American vendor could sell one cheaper for you and ship down somehow. Used stuff is goofy at best in quality. Lots of ebay items have warranty issues and they sell them on ebay to just get something for an item they screwed up or has problems of some kind.

I would gladly buy off a vendor if they're willing to send to aus, I'm just not totally sure if its a proper standalone unit yet (you know plug it in the obd port)

I don't think the IQ itself is standalone. I believe it does need to be hooked up to the sixgun to work properly. But that is a guess. Since it was designed to take the place of the Palm Pilot. And I know the that thing won't show some info when the sixgun is malfunctioning. It will show some info, like boost and EGT. But the engine temp won't show without the sixgun working. That's with it hooked up to the big red paper weight.
