On my autometer sport comp digital gauges the sensors have 2 wires a grey and a purple.

What I'm wondering is, can I get another sensor and a 3 way switch and run 2 sensors off the one gauge, before and after a cooler?

Seems like it would work on my analog gauge where the sensor only has one wire. Just don't know if the two wires sensors have a power in and power out or what?

What type of gauge? A little more info would probably help.

More than likely one wire is a positive voltage supply and the other is the signal wire. Just break out a volt meter and see which one has power going out from the gauge (with the sending unit disconnected) and put the toggle on the other wire.

I emailed Autometer, they said grey is 5v and purple is return signal. Found a switch at radio shack and the sending unit is on the way:D
