I'm looking to get a used camper shell. I need to get some other parts on my truck painted so I'm just going to get the shell painted too to match. So in looking for a camper shell is one color better to have as a base? The one I found they're asking $150 but it's white. I wasn't sure if a white one would be better to paint silver birch, vs a black, or any other color. Or does it matter since it's gonna be done by a pro?

Pro would tint his final coat of sealer, to closer match the new color.

If it was black, he would tint his sealer to light grey, to get closer to silver birch.

So yes, white to silver birch is better than black to silver birch. White will not require a tinted sealer.

I hope that makes sense.

that makes PERFECT sense!! Thank you! I can't believe the guy is selling it for that cheap. It doesn't have to be perfect just because it's going to be my "roof" when I go hunting haha. Thanks again for your help!
