Cam Sensor

A good friend of mine is out in PA with an LLY ambulance chassis. He's got a P0340 - P0340pd codes showing. He went and got a cam sensor from autozone and went from running rough to now not running. Any ideas? He's in Saylorsburg area if anyone can help him. He's a mobile vet, maybe you'll get a free nueter if you get him rolling asap.

I think I read somewhere on this forum or maybe another Dmax forum that many aftermarket cam sensors don't work, stick with the OEM part. I carry a spare but I'm a looong way from PA.

Make sure where the sensor mounts is good and clean. I've had about six intermittent cam sensors and almost all of them had very bad corrosion where the sensor mounts. I usually file down the mounting area of the sensor slightly and make sure the mounting is spotless.
