Does anyone have any for sale? I'm about to put the truck under the knife and do some chassis work and would like to add CalTrac's. I already ordered the M H 14/30-15 tires and need to change the shocks on front and change the springs on back. Thanks Jeff

dont know what you have planned but these shocks look to be the cats meow if you got the coin QA1 # DTC1538P they are same length as stock, double adjustable compression and rebound independantly this is the link summit and jegs carry them . i will be getting them within a week or 2 . the QA1 shock tech i talked to about them said they had enough adjustment to almost hydrolock the shock if you wanted to go that stiff

Chassis work

I'm just going to try and make the truck 60' GOOD. I will do what ever to make that happen. Ed, the firestones are not what I thought they were. I ordered a set and it's not going to happen. I have neen through many wheel and tires and steel 15" may be the weapon of choice. Jeff

Did the tech think they'd be ok with the weight of our front ends?

yes he said said there are alot of guys running them on diesels even snow plow trucks . my concern was not enough valving out of a adjustable shock for the weight of our trucks and this was when he adressed my question stating that there is enough adjustmant to amlost hydrolock the shock if you desired and that they were a very strong shock . i told him my aplication was drag racing my duramax and told him the problems i was having with other shocks, told him the desired colapsed and extended leangth and that is the shock he recomended .

I thought a 15" wheel wont fit around our calipers/brakes?

x2.

I have talked with some other people about this and I think if we could convert the front to a 1/2 ton we could run 15's with smaller rotors and wheels=less rolling resistance and weight!

Less stopping power too at the back end of the track. Will that be an issue, having a 1/2 ton front end of a 3/4 ton truck??

"No thank you" on smaller brakes. Too much weight to stop. Better to find a light set of 16" wheels first.
