I have one and you will not have a wait to start light. Mine has a hole drilled in order to see it.

I don't know if you need anything else it will plug in.

Might consider getting the Escalade face plate from USspeedo.com it has diesel fuel label for fuel and glow plug lite. you have to confirm the 4x4 lite will be in it as these for the pickups do and don't 2wd and 4wd is reason I guess. When you order cover all the details your truck has for the order. Only takes 1 hr. to do it but it's a delicate job installing the needles on each gauge slot to make it set on the zero setpoint. Cost is like $125 for my Daytona White one. They also sell and fix the electric cluster and can calibrate it to your set numbers. Sure is a nice kit compared to the stock stuff. Just takes patience to install it, have a patient installer do it if you don't want to do it. It's not that much labor at a shop who knows Duramax.

I could be wrong as I bought mine from someone that had it all set. But I thought I was told that the provision is there just need to drill a hole. Here say I suspect
