G'gay,
I have some confusion between atsg manual and Allison manual for actual clearance. Atsg 090 to 110 , info from here somewhere says Allison calls equal 070 to 085. Comments , input ? Thanks
About to try 3rd rebuild .....

You could be anywhere from .080 -.110 and be good to go. You'd be surprised the clearances in some stock untouched transmissions that work just fine.

I like .070/.080. Just make sure your gasket is installed when you take your measurement. I have seen them work fine at .125.

Mike, when you say air check. Do you mean air check the clutches at ports into the housing ? IE: to ensure the clutch is engaging and releasing and not leaking etc
Thanks

Correct.
Squirt atf in the passage and fill it up. Then cut the air pressure down to 30/40 psi max. If there is a leak you will see it.
