Been looking around for a parts truck/engine I can tear apart and have to build a block. Found an LB7 for cheap. Guy says he found fuel in the oil and is assuming an issue with the injectors. He said the truck needs a starter as well so no test drive or anything. Aside from the starter and possible injectors he said everything else is in working order. Truck is an extended cab, body is rusted right through on the rockers and interior is ripped and worn on the seats. Automatic trans. Said he would do $2800 CAD ($2600 USD) and he would deliver it (12hrs round trip). Can I go wrong with this deal? Anything to look over/for on a non running truck?

You guys find parts trucks that freakin cheap up there? In my area a run down parts truck would still cost you 5000-7000 bucks.

I know its cheap but I would throw a starter in it (also cheap) and hear it run and drive. If the transmission is toast and the motor shot what is it worth then but cores?
