So I bought a built trans out of a wrecked truck that had 4k miles on it verified from the builder. When I got it, it had trans fluid on the top of the extension housing but we could not find any cracks anywhere...so we played it safe and took my extension housing off my good stocker unit and put it on the built unit and stuck it in the truck. My question is, does the extension housing have mods in it to help the trans hold power or is it simply bearings and whatnot? Did I screw up? Its a suncoast gmax kit with 1056 converter built a year ago. Thanks for any insights you guys have! Truck isn't tuned yet so don't know if it'll hold power yet or not. Just didn't want to screw something up when I put a big tune on it!

You're fine so long as the clearances were verified when you swapped the housings, and it was done properly. If you did it with it sitting on the pan, then I give you a 90% chance a torrington dropped down, and you could be in BIG trouble. Many people have messed them up swapping out that extension housing.
