Built Trans, what next?

Hey all, so, I've got the basics down here, 4" straight exhaust, CAI, lift pump deleted and tuned. the weak link now is the transmission, so I'll get a built trans, NOW after the trans what is the next thing thats going to go and at how much HP will that happen? say can I slap on a 200HP tune bringing my HP to somewhere around 450RWHP or even go to 500rwhp without the risk of breaking more parts?

whats the safest / highest HP and tunes I can run with just the tranny built and not going much further then that?

I've heard on these LLY's the rods start to go at like 550+RWHP but dont know about anything else that would start to fail in that 400-500HP range. any advice and input is appreciated thanks

Factory bolts are fine with the updated gaskets that they use.

Stock turbo and cp3 / injectors will run around 200-230hp tune. Get a reputable EFI tuner and the engine will be fine. You'll most likely melt a piston than blow a gasket or bend a rod with good tuning.

Just run it already. Realize the risk and decide what you really want to do.

Most of us on the site started out at 500rwhp on stock everything with the same mods you have listed and the built trans to go with them. Makes for a fun truck.

Nothing is set in stone when you start adding power to anything on what is "safe". In my opinion with efi live and good tuners we can make more power with it being more reliable. You don't hear of many guys bending rods anymore at 500hp. Also getting the motor to live has alot to do with your right foot...

haha, yea man I hear ya, but I daily drive and use it for work this here truck. I have a heavy foot and want to know how far I go before I blow up someothing big, I don't want to have any bent rods or ****ed pistons. I want to run it to its max the stock parts can hold.

My truck makes about 450rwhp, 960ftlbs,(dynoed)with Idaho Robs max effort turning, same mods as you with a lml manifold, ppe up pipes and a tired cp3.

There's no for sure number, some live on higher numbers, some don't, its a pay to play hobby

I asked for more turning, he said I'm aching for engine failure, which I knew, so I left it. I've ran mine on the big tune for a year and a half now, motors hanging in there, i DD it tow ocassionally and haul a 400gal water tank 3ish times a week with it, but its only a matter of time, and I'll fix it when it happens.

Just have to decide if you want to do it or if you can afford it if it breaks
