My truck already has MPI gen 1 twin turbos, Kerma 50hp injectors, ARP head studs, and a MITUSA lift pump. On my shelf I have a set of Carrillo rods, Spearco intercooler and a Flex-a-Lite fan. On route is a 68mm Cheetah.

My plan was to build my motor this past winter, but I've been building a new house and with so much cool stuff coming out I've been procrastinating on the build. But I can't put this off any longer, so I've decided to do a small build for now. I will be only running single modded LMM CP3 with addition of the Cheetah.
So, in the motor I think I should run at least 16:1 pistons, billet oil pump and a harmonic dampener.

Is there anything else I should consider? Remember I really only want about 750rwhp at the most. ( We will leave the big power for the next motor!)

Thanks, Steven.

main studs/head studs, put your rods in. I would worry more about rods than pistons. If you dont want to use the carillos, Ill sell ya my crowers, Im going with another brand of rods that fit a cummins. In fact ive got a bunch of stuff you may be interested in ;)

if your not going with big power try a set of lmm pistions they have lower compression around 16:1. i was looking at the motor specs everything is the same from what i see but i think they changed the pistion compression.

the compression on the lbz is higher than the lmm i had to go down to the dealership and had the print out of the 4 motors. me and the diesel mechanic think the pistions are a little different because of the compresion.

Cody you were talking about LBZ and LMM pistons not LB7 and LLY's, Mid 04 is when the switched over.
