Im going to be building my lb7 this winter, wondering what everyone does for boring. Is 40 over too much? Will it weaken or heat up the cylinder walls? Looking for opinions, thanks.

I have a used block and just want to make sure its perfect so I was thinking 20 over at most. Not like the extra cubes are needed for more power!

Yeah, stay as close to stock as possible because of the cylinder pressure these babies run. I would estimate that at most the HP difference between a stock and 30 over might be 5-10 and thats at a cost of RPM since the motor is already hindered by the air supply. In other words, the stock intake system already doesnt fill the cylinders to their potential with a stock turbo so adding more cubes will only pronounce the issue. Adding more cubes is only a benifit if your adding more fuel and to do that you have to add more air which as we already discussed is a problem when using the stock air supply.
