It's your money but for a mild dd/ tow rig to get good fuel economy and last, I'd go lift pump with better filters, mild tow tune, and a4" exhaust. Keep your tires the stock size or close to it with a highway or mild all terrain tread.

A stock truck with a good tune will do you good and last.

This.

Everything else you want to do is just extra $$ that will bring you extra trouble later.

Now, if you were talking about performance, thats another thing.....

Building my transmission and getting a better torque converter in it did as much for towing performance as anything has.

Well I have had the truck for last 100000 km been awesome truck. But I'm getting board of it and want it a bit faster. It's my every day truck I use for work pull traler often. looking to getting a car houler camper and want to be able to pull it around efficiently could use power there. I also sled almost every weekend. Drive 8 hours each way with a few sleds. So if there's anyway to get more fuel economy I'm in. The truck currently has 4" straight pipe, air intake , efi tuning, and stock transmission that slips a little with hard shifts at time.
