I'm talking with a machine shop about building some parts because I want to see if it is affordable for me to try fabricating my own intake with a built in water to air intercooler. I am looking at having some plates machined to bolt to the head, a plate to go on top with radiused inlets to each runner, and curved runners to go between each plate. He said he would probably need to sell at least 10 sets to make it anywhere close to reasonable for them to make the parts. The machine shop does very high quality work, and I promise you won't be disappointed. How much interest is there in something like this? It should fit any Duramax from 01-16 but would require the turbo to be relocated from the valley and custom plumbing to the rail from CP3.

Josh is 100% correct on the quality of this shop and I also have seen the pictures of the runners and they are gorgeous! Only advice I would give you Josh is do NOT put the water to air cores in the intake like that. Every single one we have ever ran from everyone to offer them has failed and put water in the engine. Dmax's and water to air in the intake doesn't get along nice at all! It isn't the fabricators fault either, it is a situation where the parts don't like life at all and fail pretty quickly. Only one to not see these issues was the banks marine setup but you don't see many of them around either but they were really nice core setups! Not trying to tell you what to do or not do but I don't want to see you go through what we have been through over the past 4 years with that type of intercooler setups.

Got any pictures??

No pictures yet as this is something that will be newly developed. I am simply trying to gauge interest to see if this is worth pursuing. If there is enough interest, we will begin working on a design and working to figure out pricing and production time frame. I have a rough idea for what I would like to do, but as of now, there is nothing of any substance to show.
