I was bored when sitting in the truck cleaning crap so I decided to take a short video showing the BT DieselWorks TapShifter in my LLY.

Excuse the perceived insanity...I am a perfectly stable person. :roflmao:

Next time I drive it I will post a road test video in this thread. :thumb:

I'm trying to get a gopro on the back glass so you can see everything that is going on.

I wouldn't say it is very difficult, the instructions are comprehensive and I didn't have any issues with mine just following the instructions.

I have a combo TapShift/Lock-up box so there was a little more to do than with just the TapShifter and it was very easy in my opinion.

I have bens lock up box and it works flawless. Anytime I had questions about it Ben always took care of me and answered them.

I'm really thinking about getting one of those tap shifters. Would make driving this s472 a dream.

I have ran a fleece tap shifter since 2010. Makes towing so much better to lock it down a gear before laying into it going up a hill

How long is the install? Is it just splicing or does it to into pins on the controller? I would really like one to my old lb7 my lbz was the first truck I owned that had it and the lml still has it and man is it nice going down the mountains... Just need an exhaust brake for it now would have to go vvt or a banks/PAC brake flapper

So what does a lockup box do?

Forces converter lockup for trucks that are over the slip limit, usually 550-600hp+

IIRC it was tapping into 2 wires, and splicing into 4 others. Not difficult at all. I took my time and did it in a few hours.
