just like starting the truck without cycling the plugs ecept worse because they are not on while the motor warms up either.

i would get a set of left hand drills and extractors to get them out if it were me. either run all of them or none of them.

A sharp drill bit and small cresent wrench. Go slow and make sure your angle is right. Then use a magnet to get as many of the threads/shavings out as you can, then use an easy out if a magnet won't pull it out. Then insert the new one. My cousin did this, it took him 4 hours, but he didn't have to pull the head. Go slow, it can be done. I'll get the drill bit size he used. I think it was a dewalt bit. :thumb:

Well took four hours but I got both out. First I drilled and tapped 1/4-20 down past the large threads. Then I drilled large to remove the large threads and tapped the remaining left over threads out. If u drill large just past the threads it will break off the bottom of the glow plug. I left the bottom in till I was done to keep the shavings out. Then I grabbed a 1/4-20 bolt and threaded it into the bottom piece that I tapped earlier and pulled out the plug.

Yep, that's the "how to" right there. It sucks, but it beats pulling off the head. :thumb:
