The lml has been proven, I think anyways, to hold that kind of power. Only thing that sucks is you still need to do all the expensive machine work.
Proven? To what not hold up any better than other stock rods
Maybe some people are lucky for a bit but there's still plenty of failures on the Internet
The money saved on reusing factory rods is going to end up costing more in the long run when they let go & take out other parts with it

LML rods bend and break just like every other year duramax rod. They haven't been proven worth crap.

Couldn't agree more birthday boy, lol! We have a stock LML in the shop right now that was deleted with H&S like most are and at 87,xxxmiles it needs a motor. Has 8 cracked pistons in it from heat not pressure because they are not in the normal places, they are random. Moral of the story, if you open it up then put quality parts back in it otherwise you will continue to work on it.:thumb:

Well the thing is is that I found some mahle cast pistons for 400 bucks and some cryo treated lbz rods for 200 bucks that I was going to put in a spare motor with a keyed stock crank with an empire AF cam and swap that into my truck, run that for awhile due to the fact that I bought a s369sxe, 10mm stroker and some 60 overs and I don't feel safe running that on a stock motor. Then while I have my original motor out, build that with all the good quality stuff and swap that back in. Or just I just run the s369sxe on low boost and save my pennies? Or just stick with the stock turbo for now til I can build my motor?

I put bc rods in my truck. I got a good deal on them so I wanted to try them. The quality control was alittle disappointing. I had to debur and even sand down 3 of the pin bushings for my wrist pins to fit. I should have had them honed, or sent back and fixed in house. But I just ended up taking some sand paper by hand. Other than that they were pretty nice.

My machinest said the same thing Ben, other then that I was impressed by them. Trapped 123 in my ccsb with them so I know they are definitely good for 800-850ish.

Talked to a local company who deals with BC a lot and they are giving me a pretty damn good deal, so now the waiting game starts. Hopefully my set comes a little cleaner then others.
