well i went to my local auto zone and i need rotors and pads all the way around and when it came to the rear rotors they asked if my truck had a 2in body lift?? i have a 2004 lly crew cab short box 4x4 the difference between the 2 was how wide they were. so what ones do i get the one with the body lift (wider) or no body lift (less wide) thanks

 Maybe I am dumb but... WTF does a body lift have to do with the Brake rotors, or Pads? Was this the typical 15 year old pock faced teen workin behind the counter?

Yeah, I ran into the same thing when I got rotors from Advance. I got the wrong ones and then took them back... asked the guy at the counter the difference...and he said the correct ones were for a truck with 2" body lift. I guess it has to do with the 11.5" AAM axle used behind the Dmax.

There is a difference its the hub bore size. its not much only a few hundreths of an inch but its enough to make a difference Why i dont know but there is. Hes not dumb.

now i cant remember which ones i got for our 02. but i just took one of the stock ones in and they matched it up.

Sidenote - IMO its better to spend the extra money and use the GM brake pads. I got the most expensive ones from Advance for the rear of mine and they squeel...not bad but annoying none the less.
When I did the front I used GM brake pads and they are silent.

What a stupid way of entering that information into their computer. There is no 2" body lift on our trucks. The frames are taller or something on the 2500HD and 3500 (as can be seen in the taller bumper cap on the Chevy and the filler panel on the GMC grille), but that's it.
