Hey, I've noticed my rotors are showing the pads are wearing only a small part of the rotor. The rest of the rotor is rough and the pads are starting to wear excessively on the rough part of the rotor. Not sure if anyone has seen this before, and if it could be a caliper problem, or if the pads could be hanging up, or if the rotors just started to rust or something and should just be replaced. Thanks

Maybe you have stuck/frozen caliper slides, they tend to hang up. Tear it apart and lube up the slides real good.

Maybe wouldn't hurt to have the rotors machined and give the pads a new machined surface to wear into.

I have tried freeing them and getting them to work they just seam to do it again after a bit.Id get a fresh set of rotors the cross drilled and slotted arent much more then the regular 1s and a nice set of braided lines will make stopping a little bit better also a set or ceramic metalic pads would be great.

The stock pads if in good condition should last at least 100k maybe 200k.

I have 140k and 120k on both my trucks and they are well above 50%. When I machined my rotors I just hit them with a da sander lol and there still great

Most likely its the slider pins, if you live anywhere that's cold or near water or dirty/dusty roads or your state uses any kind of road salt/spray whatsoever they will eventually stick.

The purple brake lube from Napa is so great I use it on every set of brakes I do at work and its never failed me.
