Brakes Still Don't Feel Great

Hi,

Time for a brake upgrade. Towing 9500lb with 2006 2500hd D-Max. I have trailer brakes but would like a little more confidence in truck brakes. It has after-market pads (Wagner Severe Duty) and rotors (new in the past 2 years), new master cylinder this year. Brakes still soft. They feel better after 'internal bleed' using Tech II, but go back soft in a few weeks. No leaks from calipers (still original, I think). Manual bleed shows no bubbles at calipers. But, still
sounds like air coming in somewhere.
Am I not throwing enough parts at it??

hows the hydrobooster feel? a tired booster could cause it harder to apply. Sticky slides on calipers could also keep them from applying smooth or sticking.

rubber lines compromised? 2 at each front wheel and 3 at rear from axle to caliper and axle to frame d/s .

Did you cycle the abs with the tech 2 when bleeding them?

Thanks for the replies. Answers below:

- DOT 4 fluid.
- Don't know what a good/bad booster feels like. It seems to work (gives boost to pedal) just fine.
- I assume TECH II does the ABS. Start up the diagnostics and push pedal about 6 times to cycle system.
- When we did pads and rotors, it looked clean around the calipers, but didn't lube them. I'll check that stuff again.
- Have been thinking about the hoses. May do those. 225k on truck and I guess hoses are the OEM.

I had to flush my hydroboost a few times as well as the brake fluid following the bleed procedure with a tech 2 before I could get my 03 feeling decent after pad/rotor replacement.
