LBZ: Brake warning light and chime

Driving along today, Brake warning light comes on, chime starts.

270,000 miles. Brake switch tests fine. What else can cause this. I have earthed the brake switch nothing.

Brake fluid level is perfect.

Nothing I can get with EFILIVE.

Im getting a Tech 2 on it now.

If it's just the "Brake" light I don't think their will be any codes. Looking like it's seeing the parking brake engaged. Our trucks will chime at us after seeing wheel speed and the park brake engaged. I know your setup is a bit different but I think when the brake wire is grounded is what translate into the parking brake being engaged. May check the wiring circuit for being shorted somewhere.

Its a GMC sierra, just a right hand drive. So it should be the same as your wiring etc.

Ill check the wiring to the switch.

Hi Heath if the brake fliud level is low it will bring on the chimes
