Brake Pedal Vibration

This has been bugging the hell out of me for months now, every now and then when I come to a stop the brake pedal will have this vibration to it, the only thing I can compare it to is that of an electric toothbrush type vibration. It gets to the point where I will be at a stop light and it tickles my foot to the point of me cracking up laughing! then I just get pissed lol. There are a few thereads on this issue but no real answer as to why its doing this! Could it be the hydroboost? air in a line somewhere? injectors? motor mount? It seems to only do it once the truck is warmed up and it will come and go as it pleases. One light it will do it, the next not so much, so its making it a PITA to locate the cause.

if you quickly hit the pedal, does it kick back at you then depress like normal braking?

nope, nothing like that. Brakes actually work fine, no pulsing like a warped rotor or grinding and deff no kickback.

Id rule out the hydrobooster then. If you rev the motor a hair while its tingling your foot, does it go away?

haha no, but it does sound like you have something that is bent into the brake lines or something from your motor vibrating against your hydroboost that is causing your vib.

I know its an old thread, but I can't seem to find any info on this exact symptom. This is exactly what mine is doing. Plowing snow the ABS light came on and went off a few times. When this symptom started, the ABS light was off and remains off. When driving down the road, say above 1500 RPMs you do not hear the noise or feel anything out of the ordinary. If driving this speed and you use your other foot to press the brake pedal you can hear and feel the noise again until released. When at idle or slow RPMs the noise and pulsing is fairly loud and there all the time. Power steering seems to work fine other that the noise/ pulsing gets louder when turning the steering wheel. Brakes seem to work OK other than the noise/pulsing. This is NOT steering pump howl, I know what that is and this is not it. If I had to take a stab at it with out knowing anything, I would say it has something to do with the ABS controller due to the pulsating pedal.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin
