Mine are rusty and more than likely at the end of their life soon, life of northeast coast driving..

Has anyone bought a prebent SS line kit? Or do you guys just buy a roll of line with some fittings and go to town?

Would be awesome to get a pre bent kit but I am wary of the ability to do it without lifting cab/bed

You wouldn't have to lift the cab per say you might have to lower the gas tank might be the worst.I would imagine the prebent stainless would be pretty pricey.

Inline Tube is where I plan on buying them. Seems to me the worst one would be the passenger side front.

I still drive my truck, stops fine, just afraid after this winter the lines will give their last breath and burst on a heavy stop.

Wish I could daily the camaro but that needs exhaust, and now a update to the tune, yadda yadda..

Should have bought a prius. :roflmao:

Evan (or anyone actually), do you know if the fittings are stainless?

I bought Inline tube complete systems for several older vehicles I own and fitment was perfect, but I have noticed that my fittings are starting to go bad (the lines themselves look brand new after a wipe down with a cloth).

Years ago somebody told me Classictube used stainless fittings as well as lines while Inline used stainless lines but coated fittings.....just wondering if that's changed. If not I might go with Classictube when mine go out.

As far as I remember they were stainless and what you were told was most likely right this is quoted from the site.

Inline Tube Exclusive:
All '73 & newer Chevy Truck Brake Line Sets now have SOLID stainless fittings!

I've used the inlinetube ss brake lines with great reaults:thumb:. The braided caliper lines made a firmer brake pedal, not as spongy.

I get rolls of the nickle plated lines and make them myself.

I did the camaro that way, and thats a no ABS fanciness car just line lock and prop valve, oh did they suck..

Even with the fancy hydraulic flare tool too.
