anyone ever use this stuff? I saw it advertised and I think it looks good and I want to clean up my wiring in my engine bay. think it'll work?

ive bought wiring kits for random thing that had that stuff on it already and it looked really nice but i bet it would be hard to install on existing wiring with connectors on the ends.

It is nice, it is expensive and not all of it is heat resistant. It is a bear to get over connectors and does snag. It's like one of those Chinese finger traps, same concept.

we use it at work on our harnesses, and like mentioned the good shit is heat resistance and wear resistant. But it's a bear to get over connectors...

The idea of that stuff is to be installed before you put connectors on the wires, not really after.
That's what split loom is for.

Spiral is about the best for retaining wires and working with existing harnesses. Breaking out wires anywhere is a breeze.

I use the braided on some of my products, but install it during assembly. Nice neat look and it protects the wire well from abrasion. Takes some time to get it right. I seal the ends with heat shrink.
