bought a used efi live and need help

purchased a used EFI-Live Flashscan V2 off of a mebber over on compD, has no more vins left so i need to order one, how do i do this?

also plugged it into my computer (windows7), says driver not found. any ideas as to whats up with this? got a couple files i wana try on my LLY at the track tonight so looking for some info kinda quickly.. thnaks all

also downloaded the free download off efi's site to play around with and every time it opens, says its in demomode only and once you click ok it automaticly closes itself?

You have to get the authenticate code from the V2 and the serial number the go to EFIlive.com and go to products and look for v2 licens. Not sure on the driver deal.

where do i find this info? thanks!
i found the serial but not the auth code

also on efilive.com under license to buy, it ask for verhicle modle, would i just put chevy or lly or?

lol looks like i need a quick "getting started" walk through as i have no instruction that came with it...

Have the v2 plugged into the computer. Open EFI live tune tool, open help, pick flashscan v2/ autocal vin licensing, lower left click on authenticate and it will have the code you need. This same menu is where you put the code they give you to unlock another vin

the tune tool wont open for me tho, only one that will is the "efilive scan and tune" icon. but when i try to open the file im gona run it goes to the efilive tune icon and wont open. i got the vin liecen and all that off the scan&tune icon, now just need to get the other one to work/open so i can load the file

You need to pull your tune out first and maybe compare operating systems. It is the green arrow at the top for reading the stock tune and the red single for regular flash and double red for full flash(upgrade to dsp2 or dsp5)

so obviously unhook the gay edge juice, hook the flash scan up and pull the tune (on the handheld probably go to tune tool?)
then click the green arrow to pull the stock tune?

then what?


tried to pull stock tune, handheld says "options, txt not found" ?

While on topic, I bought a truck with efi already on it and was wondering which direction I need to go to start my own tuning,not familiar with it at all if anyone could contact me and help me in any way. I don't get on very often so if you could call I would appreciate it 585-610-0204 thanks Dustin
