I found this 81 FJ60 on Facebook a few days ago, and the wife really liked it. The prices on these have been increasing on these recently, but since I don’t see them going down in value anytime soon, I figured it was a safe buy. She will probably be using it as a daily driver.

Being around the offroad community, I had previously heard of ih8mud and have even read some posts on there in the past, but since I didn't have a cruiser before, I never had an account. I did register yesterday and posted an intro thread in the 60 series tech area.
For sure! That's why I wasn't too worried about it. It's pretty nice and the market is hot and doesn't look to cool off anytime soon.

the LC guys would probably loose their minds if he did it
my buddy has a 55 vw bug (oval window body) that he has turned into a baja bug with 5x5 rear arms, honda 3.0 v6, a-arm front end, caged, yadda yadda and the vw crowd has damn near disowned him cause he did all this to an oval window bug. he finds it very amusing.
He probably did that tin can a favor... Not to mention the Environment... it probably burns cleaner too!!!fixed it for ya

what did that rig come with?
This is for the WIFE, and I want it to be reliable.The stock motor and trans is a 4.2 L 2F 6 cylinder and H42 4 speed manual. I think I already have a motor and trans donor found for a good deal. It's nothing I'm in a hurry to swap though because I don't really have time for another project right now, but I'll be sure to update if/when it happens.
