Hey guys gotta a question for yah that's out of my area of expertise. I have a 04 extended cab with the Bose system, I have also added subs and amp under the seat about a year ago. Stereo has been working great, Friday afternoon I go to turn it on and only my back speakers are working. With everything off you can hear kind of a very faint squealing noise coming from front speakers. Question is, do I start with a Bose amp or new head unit? Would be a lot easier if there were no factory amp in the mix. Thanks

I would check behind the deck at the speaker wires. I've had a few problems with those rattling so much they become disconnected. They are all 1-1 connections so shouldn't be to hard to see if the problem is there.

I got a used amp coming from Hicksville auto recyclers. I figured $50 is cheaper than trying a new head unit

Amp fixed the issue. Fyi, I think I'd rather take a kick in the face with a golf shoe than have to replace it again. Tight area, nothing comes out the way you would think and razor sharp plastic is always nice for the skin.

Hah at least it works! I'm just waiting for the time and motivation to bypass mine.
