So if lowering the tbars is a good idea if I lower them completely is the truck safe to drive on the street to the track?

Still learning.

I put 20k on my truck with the bolts out. You should be fine

yes as long as you align it after you lower it

X2... align the vehicle with the bars set at the ride height you plan to drive it. Most ppl drop them out at the track....just count the turns on each bolt so you can set it back too your drive height when u done

So...everytime you lower to go to the track the truck will have to be aligned again? Even it you count the turns out and go back the same? Seems like the alignment would be the same if the bolts go back where they were. Just trying to figure this out. My truck is stock height in the front.

if your track is really close to you, shouldnt be an issue but if you have to drive more than 5 miles, i wouldnt lower your truck first. toe change is drastic on our trucks even from stock height to fully lowered with stock keys. you will tear the inner edges of your tires up if you drive that way too long. if you mark where your bolts go when you had it aligned before you lowered it and cranked them back to that spot, you should be right back to how you were before without issue unless something bent from the track :D

Ive measured down from the piece the bolt threads into to the bolt head or figure out the gap between the bolt head & that piece then stack washers in between

Well I guess that won't work as all the tracks neer me are alot more than 5 miles away.

Yeah Ed, just bring a jack and a breaker bar with an 18mm socket and lower them at the track. Count the turns and put it back the same amount when done.

I thought about that but my luck the jack would be gone about the time I hit the staging lanes.

We can go together and I'll watch the stuff while you run and you can watch it while I run lol. But my jack is a harbor freight special so its no great loss ne way.
