Noticed today when I was towing a light load my check engine light came on. I checked it with my cts monitor and it came up P0234 turbocharger overboost condition. I installed a boost valve months prior with no codes. Anyone else throw this code with the boost valve? And my max boost would only hit 22psi. That sound right to you guys?

The CTS is only going to show about 22 pounds of boost max as the stock sensor maxes out at 37 absolute(14.7PSI at sea level + 22 pounds of boost gives you 37 absolute). You need an actual boost gauge to see higher than 22PSI. Also that code can throw because it makes more boost at cruise than it is wanting to see. What tuning are you running? If EFILIVE, there is a couple of tables you need to adjust with the boost valve in.
If your above sea level then yes it can read higher. I should have been clearer on that. It will read 37 absolute, that's all it can do. So at 10,000 feet of elevation it can read up to 27.
