LB7: boost dropping between shifts

Hey guys my truck has started loosing alot of boost in between shifts, more than normal. I take off and get to about 33psi and then it falls to about 24 psi right before the shift and then it spikes back to 33 and then the same process until I get into fifth and then it hits 33 or so and falls to about 30 until I let off. And while this is hapening it really feels like its falling on its face. This only started recently, same tune that I usually run. Any ideas? Thanks James

I remember seeing a thread here about the boost tube on the drivers side getting a hole rubbed in it by the (I think) steering hose or something like that, but it will give ya something to look for

I took my airfilter out and it wasn't as bad and the heat was down quite a bit. Before if I stepped on it from a dead by 70 mph i was at 1600 degrees and without the the filter I can get to about 90 mph before I get to 1600 degrees. Do you think I need an intake of sorts? Thanks
