HAHA!! Not my Dirty Little Girl she run's just fine but a little Piece of info for those who don't know.. NEVER SPRAY EITHER INTO YOUR INTAKE!!!! I've come out of my closet to inform Ya'll that a friend of the family just went to have all of his fluids changed at a local shop. They didn't put in enough oil so the truck wouldn't start... O'l Cletus decides to grab the O'l Either can and spray it into the Intake..As soon as they turned on the Ignition BOOOM!!! One dead LB7.. Don't know all the details but the engine is Toast...

normally anything that has glow plugs you dont use either because they get so hot they will ignite the either before you crank the engine over.....

He said they told him it'd cost 22K for the repair....WTF Ever..Said they had no insurance to cover that.. So evidently he told them he's contacting his Lawyer...Priceless...Nobody and I mean Nobody can destroy a fine specimen such as the "Duramax" without being held acountable!!! "And that's all I have to say about that"....

Have they checked the motor? I use ether all the time, no problems!?

you can use ether just dont stop cranking until you have made shure all the ether is gone because when you cycle the key to try again it will go boom , it happen to me at work with a 7.3 battery went dead before either was gone and didnt think about it . luckuly it only blew up the airbox when the explosion went flying out the intake scared the shit out of me i had just started wrenching . i have used alot since especially with a fleet of 40-50 powerstrokes in our fleet ether is a must in the cold damm fords are cold blooded .

I would imaging the big problem was because it was an LB7 and it had an intake air heater. That is what would have caused the Boom to begin with.
