Dental floss(the string kind, not the plastic) and a heat gun works best to get the molding off then goof off and your finger to remove the adhesive. If you've got any powder coated parts on your truck make sure not to get goof off on them or it will take the gloss off of them

Just be careful, when I pulled my chrome rockets off using a heat gun the paint came with it. It had been repainted before the rockets where put on so that may be why.

Also if you're not the original owner of the truck inspect the edge of the molding for and paint or clear coat residue or any other evidence of body work. Some less than reputable body shops will just mask off the molding instead of removing it when they paint, so when you pull the molding off there will be a distinctive line in the clear coat and you will have to have the panel repainted.

Someone didn't prep it right before painting -_- I really hate when people take money for a service then don't do it correctly. What I warned about above happened to me on my bed and I had to have it repainted and recleared.
