Under a big a$$ rock...
Alright guys, this is a gasser question...

Does anyone know of a way to tune a MEFI 3 ECM?

We have this little project (more like a nightmare) at work. It was a stock Gen II 454 MPI and the customer wanted a little more speed out of it, so we swapped the heads, cam and intake manifold. A guy in the area is supposed to write us an ECM for it but cannot get it right, motor will start but not idle, rev nothing just starts and dies. He won't give us any information as to how he tunes them but I know there has got to be something like EFI Live for the MEFI's. Anyone here have any ideas?

TIA,
Bentley

Perhaps call www.rinda.com and ask.

But often with EFI stuff that you cannot reprogram, what you do is fool the sensors instead.

If you need more fuel, you raise the fuel pressure. If you need more timing, you relocate the crank sensor.

Call Arizona speed and marina. I have built many boat motoros and they can reclabrate your ecm. They will need the cam specs and motor combo. Jeff

Rinda only offers stuff to read the tune, not write to it. I am wondering if there is an EFI Live for the MEFI 3's. I know there are people out there that can write tunes for them but I want to be able to do it myself.
