In my 07 duramax and my 02 half ton i do not have the audio input jack to plug in a iPod or mp3 player of any sort. I have been trying to figure out the best way for me to be able to listen to all the music on my iPhone etc... So there are several ways but for they are not cheap considering all the adapters and shit needed for steering wheel controls etc...Plus if i spend all the money and get my duramax set up for it then that does me no good on my halt ton work truck! So what I'm wondering is if i bought a bluetooth dongle for the OBD II port if i could connect via bluetooth and listen to music that way? Then i could pull the adapter out and switch from vehicle to vehicle with no problems. Im aware you can run monitoring apps like Torque through these bluetooth adapters but can not find any info on whether or not they will allow you to listen to music through them? If anyone has any experience with this or knows the answer please let me know I'm soooooo damn tired of the radio:D

Dude if your truck has xm u can wire in an aux port behind the glove compartment and lead the wire into your center console. Then all u do is put it on xm ch. 0 and plug in your phone. Works great! Theres a thread about it on performancetrucks.net

Yes I'm aware of that way of doing it but the connector package is 129.99. Im trying to get something that i can easily transport between the two trucks. Im pretty sure the OBDII port has nothing to do with the radio but wasn't sure?

Interesting...

Any instructions as Jason asked?

Also would this work through the accessory button? My truck doesn't have XM installed but it was an option, and I have the 6-disk in-dash changer and the Bose option.

My buddy has somthing that just plugs from the ipod to the cigeret lighter hole and you just change the radio to a certain station its about as easy as you can get as far as swapping vehicals.

I have the same adapter. It does the job, but interference, changing stations, and the volume being off (the ipod is quieter than a cd) gets old. But, not bad enough that I've spent the money for the USA Spec adapter.

Yea I forgot to mention that,I've found stations n the 89.1 area work best but depending on the area on the amount of interference, based on my experience
