I just purchased a loaded 2005 2500 LT and it has the onstar package in it. Do any of you know what's required to get the truck up to modern day bluetooth capability? Can the factory radio/electronics be used or are there some simple plug and play parts I can get to make everything work? The truck already has the mictrophone and speaker from the onstar system. Any help or advice is very much appreciated!

Usually you can find some OEM radios on eBay that have Bluetooth added to them. But your best bet for sound quality is buy a nice aftermarket head unit and buy the harness and control box that Crutchfield sells to retain all your onstar/Bose/steering controls

I've got a 2005 SLT and this is what I use. I can talk hands free, play music from my phone through the stock stereo. I even have it set that when the phone is connected to the FM transmitter, that an auto reply is sent when I get a text.
It's cheap, plug-n-play and reliable. Not to mention it provides a fast charger for your phone.
