get rid of the 90 boot weld or couple a metal, aluminum 90 instead:thumb:
Your boot that keeps blowing has a 90* bend in it, correct? If so that is your problem. The silicone elbows do not withstand well to high boost. You will need to pull your cold pipe off and weld a 3" 90* elbow to the bottom of pipe. Then you can use a straight 3" silicone boot.
I just put an AFE hot side intercooler pipe on my truck. It is a nice piece, 3" all the way down and eliminates the 90 degree boot.
Yeah, I saw your post already. I was just giving him another option. We also have these in stainless for those wanting something a little more

Thanks a lot for the help. The AFE tube is a little pricy. If I cant fab up so
Something this weekend I'll just order one.
Also do you have a factory ic pipe or did your mpi kit come with a new one? If its factory you will need to buy a 3" aluminum elbow compared to if its a mpi you will need mild steel.
