Blower Resistor

My blower resistor has gone bad (fan won't change speeds, remains on even when truck and AC unit turns off) so i am looking at getting a new one. Each time i look for the part it seems the connectors are different, did GM make a new one? If so, are there any directions on how it is supposed to be wired up? My connector only has 3 terminals where the new one looks to have 5. Any help would be much appreciated.

The truck is a 2007 2500 Classic with AC/center counsel/auto climate control.

Use your VIN# and to go a GM-based website and lookup the correct part number. There may be an intermediate cable required to use a new resistor.

IIRC, didnt GM change the design multiple times over the years because it was such a problem? I think the change in the connector was to spread out the electrical load, as the resistor would get so hot it would burn out the connector. The better ones should come with a diagram of how its wired up.
