Geezus...why the hell do you guys use that plug and risk the turbo? Buy a cheap 2" Fernco cap and be done with it.

Stealer told me to put it back on I did the other plug and put it over it so it looked stock.

i used the orignal rubber piece that joined the intake and rez together and then used a grease cap off of a nissan sentra clamped it down with some silcone for added protection

... i did all that cuz i could never find the rubber plug everybody else has at my home depo

The reason to block it is two fold, first is to avoid the cracked resonator like everyone else has stated and the other reason is that it supposedly makes the spool of the turbo sound louder. I plugged mine for both reasons but didn't hear much of a change in sound, but i don't have a resonator to crack now.

the fernco caps dont work well with twins, the blow off easily.... thats the only reason i can think of that guys are using the plugs instead (this would apply on lly's + )

I don't get it? Mine has a simple cap on it with a hose clamp
It's been like that for 6 years..... Why would it crack or blow off?

How come?? Donit most twins kits replace the intake with a custom piece....shouldn't need a cap or plug then???

Danville Performance makes them as well. Even custom ones that can be cnc'd to say whatever you want. Check out their Facebook page for pics and prices!

The nice thing about using the plug, is the resonator can still be used for that stock appearance. Just make sure you cross drill the bolt, and use a cotter pin.
