Does the engine block coolant drain plug have a washer on it? I dropped the plug and when I found it there wasn't one, can't remember if there's supposed to be one or not.

Anyone know the answer to this? I had an extra copper washer that was the right size in my bolt bin so I put that on. No leaks so far, but I'm not sure if it's necessary.
Driver's side:
Passenger side, behind the starter solenoid at the top of the yellow line. I couldn't get the camera in there far enough to get a picture of the actual bolt head but it's there.
