Has anyone had this problem and how to fix it. When I bought the truck it wouldn't shift right the fuel filter was really plugged up. I dropped the tank and washed it with pressure washer and cleaned it with alcohol. Flushed the main fuel line with carb cleaner and compressed air with the fuel filter off. Can the algea get past the filter and be growing in the cp3 or fuel lines. His there a certain cemicale used to kill it? Been running sea foam in the tank and two stroke oil.

It can be past the filter if it has been sitting for awhile. The entire fuel system can get contaminated by old fuel. It takes months to happen though. If it is isolated to just the tank and supply lines, then the filter should catch it.

Best way to clean is to take every line off and clean it out with brake clean/carb clean or something like that.

It must of set awhile you could see how much fuel he put. There was a half tank line all the way around and to the bottom was solid black. I been about 30,000 since I cleaned it. Changed the fuel filter last week and had some of the particles in the bottom drain.
