Looks like we have had a couple of these snap in the last week or so. I'm currently conducting an investigation. So far the heat treat looks good, however it appears that the nuts made by ARP may not have the proper radius. At this time all sales of this item are suspended until further notice.

Any time frame on which, if any, are good Guy? Just wondering if it's a bad batch, or across the board problem.

Definitely a batch situation. We have been manufacturing these for years without a single issue and all of a sudden within a week we have a couple of failures. :(

In both cases, the failure occured during the initial assembly or within a day of assembly.

This has occurred two times on mine now. It gets expensive fixing it. Each time you pull the injectors you should replace all seals and washer plus you get fuel contamination into the oil. When running synthetic oils that can cost in itself. When will you have an answer on replacements and fixes?

I received your two voice mail messages and six other phone calls from yesterday afternoon, this morning.

I spent the afternoon at ARP and still have yet to come to a conclusion. It appears that any solution will require re-making the nuts and/or clamps which will take some time.

My recommendation is for you to re-install your factory clamps and return the others for a full refund including seals, gaskets what ever else you feel you have invested.

I'll post my results as soon as I can figure it out, I wish it was an easy fix, but I can't fix it until I can isolate the problem.

The investigation continues............no conclusions yet.

However, I did overnight Shane new copper gaskets, seals, banjo gaskets etc so that he may properly replace all of the clamps and return them to me for inspection. I'll also be compensating him for his labor as soon as he determines an amount.

It has always been my philosophy that any company is capable of shipping out a defective product. The difference between good, bad and great companies are how they handle the situation afterwards.

The nuts were found to be the culprit. Instead of a convex radius they were found to have a taper. The clamps have a concave radius. The effect was like driving a wedge through the middle of the clamp and splitting it apart.
