Best street tire?

I'm running a set of 35 mud tires with 20's and want to go back down to maybe a 285 or a 265 street/track tire to hot rod in with stock rims. I'll be installing a set of 45% over sticks and a stage II Floor it cp3 in the next few weeks. I really need a good tire for traction. Those 35's and 20's are ridiculously heavy and slow my fat arss down. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Justin-

I'm going to yank the rear blocks and lower t-bars all the way out. That's what I love ab the 4" cognito kit. Still has cranked look in front with flat cv's. Would there be a significant decrease in speed for a slightly wider tire but same height?

You are fine with 285s... a lift doesn't really have anything to do with it, if your CV angles are good then you should be just fine.

Are you saying that a lift doesn't have an effect on how the truck launches and tire size doesn't play into that also?

nonono im saying that 285's will be enough for traction... Russ ran a 4inch lift with 275/55/16 DR's and his truck launched better than mine and he cut 1.62 60's
