I have a couple scenarios here that I need some help with. I will give a list of the parts I have, and then give your opinion on what I should use.

The truck is an '03 3500 LB7 automatic. It has 250k and I'm tired of removing valve covers to replace injectors. It needs a couple right now. Other than that its just fine.

I have a complete LMM engine with low compression on one cylinder. Think its a piston or a scarred wall. Has good injectors.

Have a complete LLY donor truck minus injectors and ecm. The engine is completely trashed. Has no compression on all cylinders. Got really hot I was told.

Have a LBZ ECM and TCM from a 5500

Have a LBZ engine harness and a set of injectors that may or may not be good.

Heres what I thought: Use LB7 bottom end, LMM top end and injectors, LBZ ECM and engine harness. Is that possible? Can I keep my 5 speed trans? If not, what do I need? I have a V2 also.

I'd just keep the lb7 and replace the injectors :D

There's no fun in that. Rather take an ass beating than take out all them little Allen headed bolts and then tear all the skin off my knuckles prying off the valve covers. Rounding up new return line washers. I think it's time to move on from my LB7. Wanna buy a good LB7 engine? Has 3 new injectors? Only fuel knocks a little in the morning.

Can't I use the truck harness from the LLY truck with the LBZ engine harness? Forgot to ask in the OP.

Lb7 and llys have a FICM while the lbz and lmm don't. I believe the injectors run off a different voltage also. Some guys have ran lly injectors in lbz/lmm heads but you'll need a bigger o ring on the injector to make them fit.

Oh yeah, forgot about that.
