Best Allison filter price

I read a couple of times that an Allison dealer sells the spin ons for $8-10, I was just wondering what type of dealer they are. All the ones around here are Chevy/GMC dealers & want $30 a filter.

I get mine for 7 or 8 dollars at the local freightliner dealer, as well as Atlantic Detroit Diesel allison (the closest allison dealer to me)

Baldwin makes filters for the allison that you guys might be able to find in your area a little cheaper. I can get those dirt cheap here.

I called one or two and the person on the phone said he didn't know if they carried them. I'd be interested in splitting a case with ya if it makes sense (# in a case/cost). I only called them a couple weeks ago since I was going out that way - didn't make it though.

The Baldwin filters I've seen are red like the Allison OE filter, but contain the "Made in China" phrase--I like Chinese food but I stay away from parts from there--especially filters.

Aside from the genuine Allison filter, I like Wix or NAPA filters.

I bought a couple that were made in Taiwan to cut open & compare to the real deal. I don't trust them without inspecting the guts 1st.
I thought the Napa filter holes are covered by the magnet where as the Allison is outside of the magnet.

ive had way better luck with baldwin filters than wix.
